Hey guys I know its not a HUGE hurdle but I received my letter in the mail yesterday. I passed with a 63.1. Which, judging by the posts explaining the scoring criteria, doesn't seem too bad. One step closer!!!!! PAT on June 10th. no sweat...:cool:

I passed..whew..I passed Thank God I passed!!!!!!!! I PASSED!!!! Okay...now the hard stuff.:lol:

Thanks for all of the encouragement everybody. WannaBeaChippie you got that right. I like to pretend I'm not worried about the rest of the hiring process but trust me I am just as nervous as anyone else. Just gotta stay confident and pay attention to detail and we are on our way!!!

I was the same way. I like to pretend that I am not nervous, but I am. The worst part, or the best part I guess, is that I am just waiting to hear from SPB and CHP on my Psych results, talk about nerve racking. I took my psych last week and have veen furiously checking the mail every day. :shock:

Maybe it's part of the test.....see how long you can wait for the results before you snap!

Congratulations on passing the written. Your 63.1 score does not actually reflect your passing score. The 63.1 is called a "T" score. It is a standerdized score of the written exam..it is not the number right or wrong or percent. The total "T" score is comprised of seperate scores in the various parts of the written exam, reading comprehension, spelling, grammer, etc. The "T" score is a standardized score calculated by POST.

Hey undertow999. Congrats on taking the psych. I took mine on 5/16/06. I was told by a recent academy grad (23109) that SPB doesn't mail you anything about the psych unless you failed it so no news is good news. If that was the last thing you had to do, then the next letter you want to see (or phone call you want to get) is from the CHP welcoming you to the Academy.

I had already assumed that I passed the psych since I hadn't received the "bad" letter. I called the Cadet Hiring Unit yesterday just for peace of mind. They confirmed that I passed the psych. It was nice to actually hear it. Now all I have left is the physical on 6/27/06.

Maybe we'll see each other in September.
